  3.       The Microsoft PowerPoint Viewer 97 allows people who use Microsoft 
  4.       PowerPoint to share their presentations with users who do not have 
  5.       PowerPoint. This product also allows users who wish to post full fidelity 
  6.       PowerPoint presentations on the Internet to expand their online audience 
  7.       to people who might not have PowerPoint. The PowerPoint Viewer allows 
  8.       users who do not have Microsoft PowerPoint for Windows« to view and print 
  9.       PowerPoint presentations, but it does not allow them to edit PowerPoint 
  10.       presentations. 
  11.       We encourage you to copy and distribute PowerPoint Viewer to your friends 
  12.       and co-workers or post it on public electronic bulletin boards. 
  13.       Features: 
  14.         Provides full fidelity display of PowerPoint 97 files including the new 
  15.         animations, graphics effects, action settings, hyperlinks, and custom 
  16.         shows. 
  17.         Opens presentations saved in PowerPoint for Windows 2.0 or later and 
  18.         PowerPoint for Macintosh 3.0 or later. 
  19.         Supports printing of PowerPoint presentations. 
  20.         Allows printing and password protection for kiosk-style slide shows. 
  21.         In addition to running as a standalone application, Microsoft PowerPoint 
  22.         Viewer 97 is optimized for displaying PowerPoint presentations inside 
  23.         Microsoft Internet Explorer 3.x and above. 
  24.         PowerPoint presentations can be displayed within Netscape Navigator 2.x

  29.         Workstation operating system 3.51 with Service Pack 5.x or later 
  30.         4 MB of memory for Windows 95 (8 MB recommended) 
  31.         12 MB of memory for Windows NT Workstation 
  32.         7 MB of hard disk space (9 MB free for installation only)

  37.       To install PowerPoint Viewer, please follow these instructions: 
  38.         Download PPView97.exe to your local hard drive.

  40.         Close all other applications and ensure that you are not running any 
  41.         utilities or virus protection programs.

  43.         In Windows 95 or Windows NT 4.0 or the Windows NT 3.51 File Manager, 
  44.         double-click the PowerPoint Viewer icon. This will run an unpack utility 
  45.         that extracts the PowerPoint Viewer 97 distribution files and starts the 
  46.         PowerPoint Viewer 97 Setup program.

  48.         PowerPoint Viewer 97 Setup will prompt you for a folder in which to 
  49.         install PowerPoint Viewer. The default folder location for PowerPoint 
  50.         Viewer is \Program Files\PowerPoint Viewer (C:\PowerPoint Viewer on 
  51.         Windows NT 3.51).

  66.       ("EULA") is a legal agreement between you (either an individual or a 
  67.       single entity) and Microsoft Corporation for the Microsoft software 
  68.       accompanying this EULA, which includes computer software and may include 
  69.       associated media, printed materials, and "online" or electronic 
  70.       documentation ("SOFTWARE PRODUCT" or "SOFTWARE"). By exercising your 
  71.       rights to make and use copies of the SOFTWARE PRODUCT, you agree to be 
  72.       bound by the terms of this EULA. If you do not agree to the terms of this 
  73.       EULA, you may not use the SOFTWARE PRODUCT.

  81.       1. GRANT OF LICENSE. This EULA grants you the following rights: 
  82.         Installation and Use. You may install and use an unlimited number of 
  83.         copies of the SOFTWARE PRODUCT. 
  84.         Reproduction and Distribution. You may reproduce and distribute an 
  85.         unlimited number of copies of the SOFTWARE PRODUCT; provided that each 
  86.         copy shall be a true and complete copy, including all copyright and 
  87.         trademark notices, and shall be accompanied by a copy of this EULA. 
  88.         Copies of the SOFTWARE PRODUCT may be distributed as a standalone 
  89.         product or included with your own product. 
  90.       2. DESCRIPTION OF OTHER RIGHTS AND LIMITATIONS. 
  91.         Limitations on Reverse Engineering, Decompilation, and Disassembly. You 
  92.         may not reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the SOFTWARE 
  93.         PRODUCT, except and only to the extent that such activity is expressly 
  94.         permitted by applicable law notwithstanding this limitation. 
  95.         Separation of Components. The SOFTWARE PRODUCT is licensed as a single 
  96.         product. Its component parts may not be separated for use on more than 
  97.         one computer. 
  98.         Software Transfer. You may permanently transfer all of your rights under 
  99.         this EULA, provided the recipient agrees to the terms of this EULA. 
  100.         Termination. Without prejudice to any other rights, Microsoft may 
  101.         terminate this EULA if you fail to comply with the terms and conditions 
  102.         of this EULA. In such event, you must destroy all copies of the SOFTWARE 
  103.         PRODUCT and all of its component parts. 
  104.       3. COPYRIGHT. All title and copyrights in and to the SOFTWARE PRODUCT 
  105.       (including but not limited to any images, photographs, animations, video, 
  106.       audio, music, text, and "applets" incorporated into the SOFTWARE PRODUCT), 
  107.       the accompanying printed materials, and any copies of the SOFTWARE PRODUCT 
  108.       are owned by Microsoft or its suppliers. The SOFTWARE PRODUCT is protected 
  109.       by copyright laws and international treaty provisions. Therefore, you must 
  110.       treat the SOFTWARE PRODUCT like any other copyrighted material. 
  111.       4. U.S. GOVERNMENT RESTRICTED RIGHTS. The SOFTWARE PRODUCT and 
  112.       documentation are provided with RESTRICTED RIGHTS. Use, duplication, or 
  113.       disclosure by the Government is subject to restrictions as set forth in 
  114.       subparagraph (c)(1)(ii) of the Rights in Technical Data and Computer 
  115.       Software clause at DFARS 252.227-7013 or subparagraphs (c)(1) and (2) of 
  116.       the Commercial Computer Software-Restricted Rights at 48 CFR 52.227-19, as 
  117.       applicable. Manufacturer is Microsoft Corporation/One Microsoft

  122.       LIMITED WARRANTY 
  123.       NO WARRANTIES. Microsoft expressly disclaims any warranty for the SOFTWARE 
  124.       PRODUCT. The SOFTWARE PRODUCT and any related documentation is provided 
  125.       "as is" without warranty of any kind, either express or implied, 
  126.       including, without limitation, the implied warranties or merchantability, 
  127.       fitness for a particular purpose, or noninfringement. The entire risk 
  128.       arising out of use or performance of the SOFTWARE PRODUCT remains with 
  129.       you. 
  130.       NO LIABILITY FOR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES. In no event shall Microsoft or its 
  131.       suppliers be liable for any damages whatsoever (including, without 
  132.       limitation, damages for loss of business profits, business interruption, 
  133.       loss of business information, or any other pecuniary loss) arising out of 
  134.       the use of or inability to use this Microsoft product, even if Microsoft 
  135.       has been advised of the possibility of such damages. Because some 
  136.       states/jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of liability 
  137.       for consequential or incidental damages, the above limitation may not 
  138.       apply to you.

  143.       If you acquired this product in the United States, this EULA is governed 
  144.       by the laws of the State of Washington.
